Educational Resources
The Ohio Apple Association recognizes that many of today's children and parents may have had minimal exposure to an orchard or farm. Field trips are an ideal way 
to acquaint these individuals with the growing process, and to stimulate interest and awareness in how food is grown, how pests and disease can be controlled without harm to individuals or the environment, what a career in farming might be like, and other questions that occur to inquiring young minds.
One objective of this new website is the development of age-appropriate teaching tools to assist educators, and apple growers, as they work together to provide an educational and interesting field trip for children. We are currently researching new materials, and will post them on this page as soon as they become available.
