Ohio Apples Apple Cobbler Recipe

Just 5 ingredients come together in a snap for a quick dessert anyone can make. Somewhere in between a cobbler and crumble, this treat won’t last long on the Thanksgiving dessert table!

Ingredients:
1 cup self-rising flour
1 cup white sugar
½ cup softened butter
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
4 Ohio apples, cored and sliced

Directions:
-Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 9×9-inch baking dish.
-Mix flour, sugar, butter, and cinnamon together in a bowl using a pastry cutter or fork until crumbly; save 3/4 cup of the mixture for the topping.
-Distribute a light layer of the mixture into the prepared baking dish then top with a layer of apple slices. Alternate layers of the mixture with apples and end with apples on top. Sprinkle final apple layer with 3/4 cup mixture of saved mixture.
-Bake in the preheated oven until apples are soft and topping is lightly browned: about 30 to 35 minutes. Allow cobbler to cool for 10 minutes before serving.

We like to serve ours with ice cream, but whipped cream is also delicious!
