After sampling/judging nearly 10 ciders on Saturday, you better believe my taste buds needed a break. However, by yesterday I was ready to get back in the game. Decided to check out my first bentladder , sent to me by into.the.cider.verse . This little morsel featured Apricot & Rhubarb to go along with it's cider-ness. Rhubarb is always strange to me, in that it's a very finicky flavor to find... usually you can just sense it by an increased sweetness.

What I was expecting was a fruity bomb with possible apple afterthought, but I couldn't have been more mistaken. Apple, strong and true was front and centre in this. In the mid-body, you found some undertones of apricot which, combined with a general smoothness to the liquid (not still, but not effervescent), let to quite a pleasant sipping experience. The aftersip did leave a slight metallic tingle on my tongue, but this isn't the first canned cider in the past couple months to do this... at this point I'm wondering if that's a subtle aftereffect of the 'rona. Either way, I do say, this ranks right there as either the best, or nearly the best Ohio cider I've tried! And no need to break out the label maker to cover stolen monikers either! Cheers to that! π₯
